ANTIQUE CIVIL WAR ERA GREEN PAISLEY SHAWL c.1860s VICTORIAN VINTAGE

From the Seller

This listing is for an original lady's Paisley Shawl from the Civil War period. It's made of wool and silk. The shawl is trimmed with fringe on two of the edges. This green center has a wonderful color, and there are about four different shades of green throughout the shawl! It is absolutely a gorgeous gree, NOT a faded black! Amazing! It's perfect for display, inspiration and study. It is NOT recommended to wear outdoors or often. It should only be worn with care. It should be kept out of the sun, don't throw it on the back of your couch. Shown with clothing and a pin which are not included.

Condition: Small holes scattered throughout. There are some light fade marks that I can see.

 Measurements are: 64'' by 64''

From the Industrious Lady

A nice brocade shawl, normally when these are shown worn they are double over into a triangle in a more traditional shawl shape.
